Top Notch Biker Jacket

I've owned many, many leather jackets in the last 20 years. This jacket is the nicest one I've owned up to this point. A TRUE biker jacket in every respect.The first thing I noticed when it arrived was the substantial weight of the jacket. The second thing was the richness and softness of feel of the very thick leather.This jacket is comfortable from day one and will save your hide in the event of cold weather or an unfortunate event like an accident to some extent. This jacket should last many years to come.You pay a hefty premium, but it ranks with the best true motorcycle jackets that you can buy.

Life Saver

I had a motorcycle accident, in which, I was wearing this exact jacket. 70 mph wipe-out on a highway. The jacket literally saved my skin. Without it, I would have lost most of my flesh and probably died. This jacket took the full punishment it was designed for, and saved my hide. For that, I bought another to replace it. It is very thick, heavy leather and you will be thankful you have it on if something should happen. That being said, it is very hot in summertime. For that fact, I deducted 1-star off my rating. Damn good jacket, for those who want protection in a event wipeout.

Solid Product

I just got this jacket to replace another First Mfg. jacket that I've had for years. The quality of the first jacket was pretty good so I went back for a second one after I got a little too big for the first one. This new jacket is even better than the first! First Manufacturings quality control seems to have gone up. This new jacket is made of really nice leather that looks like it will age well. The stitching on my copy is first rate. Very straight and tight. The design of the jacket is perfect for a commuter that wants to be able to wear the jacket on and off the bike. The jacket is warm enough to be used in relatively cool weather. throw a sweatshirt or sweater under it and its great on those early morning rides in to work. If the afternoon, just bag the sweater and open the vents a little. The vents really do move a lot of air, especially on a naked bike. The zippers seem like they are really good quality. I haven't had any problems with them yet. I also really like the subdued buttons. The jacket is a cross between classic cool and modern function. For the price its a great deal.
