Pretty good jacket

I just picked this coat up over the weekend so this is my first impressions.The fit is on the little snug side compared to my last coat but it is not too tight to restrict movement. I got this size, 44, and it seems to be just right. I am 6'3" 200lbs and the sleeves are just right for my long arms.The material is quite nice. The mesh around the scapula area is stretchy so when you reach with your arms there is no binding at all. The leather is nice and sturdy though combined with the armor it makes it seem a bit heavy compared to my last coat. It was a cordura coat so it was just rather light anyway. I am guessing it will be nice and cool for summer rides but it is not a winter coat for sure. The liner cuts down the wind pretty good at the chest but the arms seem to have less wind protection. I rode with it in 49 degrees yesterday and had to add a layer of under armor which made it just right.The one uncomfortable part is the collar. It's on the short side and is kind of stiff yet so it cuts into my neck a little. I hope it breaks in soon to soften there. Also since the collar is so short the zipper pull flaps up in the wind and smacks you in the throat. You'll want to either keep the zipper down an inch or just remove the little added cloth. you can still grab the pull with thin gloves though thick ones may have an issue.More thoughts to come once I get to break it in.

Nice Jacket but Fit and Armor Position was a Problem

I like Joe Rocket products and like the features in the jacket. I was looking forward to getting one of these. I normally wear a 42 or 44 jacket. I tried a size 42 but could barely get my arms into the sleeves. I actually needed help getting this off. I then tried a 44, but the arms were still too tight. Even with the expected break-in stretching, they would not have worked out. The other issue is that with the 44 the elbow pads and shoulder pads were way to low. There is no way to adjust them to compensate for this. Even with a bent arm, my elbow was unprotected. I work out and although I'm not a body builder or anything I do have fairly developed arms and forearms. This jacket assumes you have rather thin arms. It seemed like a nice jacket and suspect I would have liked it if the fits was better and armor more correctly positioned. I ended up buying a Teknic jacket in size 44 and it fits perfectly.

Protected

This is a great jacket! When I am riding I feel protected and it looks sharp.The armor is not bulky and after wearing it a few times, you don't even notice it's there.The removable liner adds to the comfort and keeps the wind from seeping in while on the road.My second Joe Rocket and again, money well spent.
