I had apprehensions but this is a GREAT jacket for the price. I was a little apprehensive, but when it arrived I was very pleased-- it was exactly what I wanted.Understand what you're getting:1) The jacket looks pretty much like what it is in the picture, except it is a little more "textured." In the pictures it looks perfectly smooth to me.2) It is matte black, which is what I wanted: not shiny or soft-smooth.3) This is not the finest "soft leather"; it is not a fashion jacket, although it looks great on me. Instead, it is tough, durable, thick, heavy leather.4) The sizing is pretty accurate. I ordered a size 40 and the arms were long enough, even though I'm 6'5". It fits tight, but that's what I wanted also.5) You'll notice that this is not the finest quality workmanship in the lining, fabric, etc-- you may see a thread or two hanging out. WHO CARES. It's well made and tough; there are no workmanship flaws, it's just a little rough around the edges. That's actually what I wanted, again.I couldn't be happier. It fits me great and I'm not the big meaty type; I look like it was made for me.

I received the jacket on the first day of the shipping time frame and in perfect condition. I immediately unboxed it and it had an excellent feel and weight. I expected much less for $100 (including shipping)!The leather was in excellent condition, softer than I thought it might be and the construction was sturdy with black YKK zippers, all of which worked perfectly. The liner is very lightweight and the mesh inner liner is very, very lightweight. I hadn't planned to wear the detachable liner so I took it out immediately. Two sleeve snaps hold it in place. The design of the jacket is extremely simple. There are two zippered exterior pockets and no inner pockets. I usually carry several things in my inner pockets (cell phone, registration, wallet) so I'm going to have to figure out a different way to do this.Now for the good part... I am 6' tall and weight 235 pounds. I normally wear a size 48 jacket. The size 50 fits me like it was tailor made. The arm length, length of the jacket, general fit at the chest and waist (I have a 36" waist) was absolutely perfect. It was a bit more snug with the liner in, but not by much. I think I could wear a light sweater under the coat if I wanted.The armor included was OK. The placement and security of the pads was about the same as other jackets I own (Fulmer Mesh and Joe Rocket Atomic). The fit and placement was better than either. Honestly, if you are buying a jacket because you think it will save you more than a few surface scratches, you may be a bit optimistic. I hit the ground at 40 mph and it ripped the armor off. I like knowing it's there, but I don't believe it will make much difference in most situations (just my opinion).The jacket has rear vents, but not a lot of air flows through this jacket. I don't think it would be good for warm weather riding.In conclusion, if you are looking for a basic jacket with simple, sturdy construction and basic features, this is your jacket. It cost $100s less than other comparable jackets and is a delight to own and wear. I wore it out last night and few people admired the look and fit. I could not be happier!

The jacket fits well, I was hoping that the leather was softer but for the price your paying it comes with amor and all. I had although a problem with the liner that I am still waiting for resolution, it came with a tear in the arm pit they are supposed to replace the liner but still has not arrived and it is almost 3 weeks since I received it.
