Awesome jacket! Alter ego couldn't be a better name. 3 jackets in one plain and simple. The outter textile portion even folds into an easy to carry pouch. The only potential draw back is that when jacket is totally assembled( all 3 parts together) jacket is heavy. Good price to pay for the protection u get, god forbid u need it!

I was very concerned about ordering this online. I'm 5'9" 190. Fits great. I think if one was taller it would work well, but if you are shorter it would be cut a little long. The adjustability is very good. I was able to cinch it firm at the waist but it was still broad enough in the shoulders and arms.AS far as function, the mesh breathes GREAT. I am riding in AZ and has been around 110f all week. It is actually cooler with the jacket than without. The armor gives some added peace of mind and for someone like me who never wore a jacket before it sure is nice when the bugs and road debries are bouncing off mesh instead of skin.Then outter and inner liner fold up into a pocket on the outer liner and fit nicely in about a 1/4 of the space of one of my hard bags.Over all I think this was an excellent value for the money and I don't feel like I sacraficed anything in the way of quality.
